Dan is an actor, comedian, writer and director.
As an actor Dan sold a pub in EASTENDERS (BBC), ran a pub in CASUALTY (BBC), argued in a pub in DOWN TO EARTH (BBC) and even advertised PALM BEER...hmmm seems to be a theme there.
His comedy work covers six years of performing at the Edinburgh Fringe including the award nominated LOVEPUKE, THE REDUCED EDINBURGH FRINGE IMPRO SHOW, the award winning HOWARD & MIMI and his 2008 self-penned solo show MY MYSPACE BABY ( ‘brilliantly witty...hilarious caricatures' Daily Telegraph; ‘a beguiling show, 4*', Evening Standard; 4* BBC Radio); he has also starred in NEWSREVUE, comedy feature films HEROES & VILLAINS (VERTIGO FILMS) and BULLA-THE MOVIE (IPM) as well as five pilot comedies for the SITCOM TRIALS (ITV1).
He has appeared on children's television in several episodes of ROSS LEE'S GHOULIES (NICKELODEON) and worked with the legendary Johnny Ball.
Dan is currently writing and performing with the sketch group THE REAL MACGUFFINS (featuring Jim Millard and Matt Sheahan). They have had a residency at The Albany for about a year now and are taking their first show to the Edinburgh Fringe this summer. He will also conclude his trilogy of personal fringe shows at the Gilded Balloon.
He has also performed stand-up comedy in the UK and USA, character stand-up with Barnaby Power, written for BBC Radio 4 with Gareth Tunley for THE NEWS HUDDLINES and ARTHUR SMITH:MAYOR OF BALHAM and has performed many times with SCRATCH IMPRO.
His directing work includes various sitcoms for THE SITCOM TRIALS at the Leicester Square Theatre, Yvonne Smith's TV PLAY at the Arcola Theatre and last year he wrote and directed the short film THE ART OF BUSKING.
Dan can also speak fluent French and play a mean game of darts.
